"News was received Friday morning by telephone of the death of Mr. A. L Bramblett, whose residence was near O'Fallon, Mo. The end came after an illness of six months. Mr. Bramblett had just returned from a visit with his son in Kansas, arriving home on the fortieth anniversary of his marriage to Miss Rosetta Keithly. He was one of the most prominent men of the community and his loss is irrevocable to his family, school, and church.
He was the bible class teacher for many years at the M. E. Church and was school director for 22 years. He was also a steward in his church and along all the lines of service he was conscientious and faithful to his trust. No one could be more missed by everyone than Mr. Bramblett.
He leaves a widow and seven children: Mrs. Nora Hopkins, Mrs. Maud Barker, Mrs. Leona Tate, Calvin Bramblett, Wilhuin Bramblett and Fern Bramblett and Mrs. Carrie Long. To his sorrowing widow and children the people extend their sincere sympathy.
The funeral will be held next Monday at Mount Zion Cemetery.
Ordelbeide-Dierker is in charge of the funeral."
