Services for Beatrice Myrtle Thornton will be at Judson Baptist Church of Cayuga.
Bea joined her Heavenly Father surrounded by her loving family following a short illness.
She was born in Bomarton to Ellis and Myrtle Harris Roberts. Bea was "Grannie Bea", "Aunt Bea", mother, loving wife and friend to all. She worked for Kroger Grocery 21 years until retiring to enjoy more time on the lake. She was a dedicated member of Judson Baptist Church. Bea will be remembered for her love of fishing, cooking, traveling and most of all, her love for family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Holly, Marvin and Wallace; sister Roberta and loving son, Clark Thornton.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 plus years, C.L. Thornton, Jr.; precious dog, Chiquita; children, Jimmie Leonard, Debra Leonard Lawhead (Fred), Ellis Leonard Smith (Ronny), Tami Thornton Hooe, Ret Thornton; grandchildren Trey Leonard, Randy Leonard, Tia Lindey, Colt Leonard, Amy Smith, Dale Smith, Kevin Smith, Casey Smith, Rusty Leonard, Brittany Hooe and Brooke Thornton and numerous other family.
