Dawna Child Brimhall Brockel of Roy, Utah, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend passed away peacefully with family at her side on Sunday, July 19, 2015.
Dawna was born September 26, 1922 to Lester and Dora Child. She was one of four children and graduated from Weber High and later Weber Technical College. After working in California, she married the late Howard Brimhall, where she remained in her home state of Utah.
Dawna worked at the Defense Depot during World War II, Sperry and the Forest Service. She loved her family, friends and work, making the very best out of every position, leaving most in envy of her spirit, dedication and wit.
Dawna was member of the LDS Church. She was most interested in studying good health and holistic practices. She loved dancing, bowling, gardening and even fishing in her long and agile years.
Dawna is preceded in death by her son Douglas Howard Brimhall. She is survived by four children: Judith Ann Cottam of Roy; Fred Child Brimhall of Roy; Nancy Lee Culpepper (Thomas) of Huntsville, Alabama and Cynthia Brimhall of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Hooper City Cemetery, 5290 South 6300 West, Hooper.
