Dr. Nathan Asbury C. Mackie was a doctor for the area from the 1880's until shortly before his death. His first marriage was to Sarah Elizabeth Gauntt, his second to Anna Schmoll, they had a daughter Eva Shaw Mackie born in 1902. Anna left and went back to Indiana. Unknown what happened to the daughter Eva. Further research shows Anna then married Edward G. Fairchild(s) in Wayne Co. MI in 1909 and in 1910 they have a daughter Helen age 7 born in TX, she is there also in 1920 census. Helen's last name was Fairchild but this is the daughter Eva. Dr. Mackie's third wife was sister to Sarah, Roxanna Gauntt, known as Roxie.
