Ellis M. Dew

Funeral services for Ellis M. Dew, 87, of Shreveport, were held Thursday, Dec. 14, at 2:30 p.m., in the Shreveport chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, with Wayne Fussell, pastor of Midway Church of Christ, officiating. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery.

Mr. Dew died Tuesday, Dec, 12, at 2 p.m., in Schumpert Hospital, after a long illness.

He was a native of Many, and had lived in Shreveport since 1960. He was a retired oilfield worker, and was employed by Butler and Johnson Drilling Co.

Survivors include his widow; a son, Kenneth D. Dew of Many; two daughters, Mrs. L. C. Allen of Bossier City, and Mrs. W. C. Shelton of Waukegan, Ill.; and three brothers, DeWitt Dew of Shreveport, Roy Dew of Many, and W. B. Dew of Zwolle, and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Marion Allen, Don Ferrier, Pete Kelly, Homer Mitchell, Bill Shelton, and Robert Smoat.
