First child of John and Mary Fishell. He was one of the 14 children that his parents had. He married Frances Lucinda Welderley. He was father to 12 children. Sarah Cecila, Robert Delos, Clara Adelaide, Bernard Romaine, James Alfred, Alva Jackson, Mary Rosina, were born in Rush New York. He then moved his family from Rush, New York in 1886 to just outside of Federalsburg, MD. The following children were born in Maryland: Ella Selina, Daniel Alger, Amernia, Oscar Harrison and Warren Reed.
