She was born May 9,1938, in Beardstown, the daughter of Verlin E. "Barney" and Verna Elizabeth Wells Perry. She married Jimmy R. Colver on Dec.20,1958 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beardstown and he preceded her in death on March 17,2010.
Surviving are two daughters, Carrie (husband Steve) Wedeking and Cristi (husband Doug) Paul both of Beardstown;four grandsons,Nick and Ben Wedeking and Dillon and Adam (wife,Misty) Paul all of Beardstown; two great-grandchildren;Rocky and Rosalee Paul; two brothers;Verlin Lee "Butch" (wife,Sandy) Perry of Marissa and Steve Perry of Bluff Springs; one sister Val (husband,Clint) Brewer of Beardstown; numerous nieces and nephews; her faithful dog "Eve" and especially all her daycare kids who knew and loved her as Babo.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and one nephew,Nathan Ryan.
Linda graduated from Beardstown High School in the class of 1958 and was a lifelong member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beardstown. She was formerly employed in Beardstown with CIPS,WRMS. Bill Bence Ford/Mercury,First National Bank and retired from Beardstown schools in order to open her daycare to care for her 'kids' Linda enjoyed listening to 50's music,sewing
quilting,crafting,dancing and being the biggest fan of her grandsos.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beardstown. The family will meet with friends 5-7pm Thursday at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown.
Memorials have been suggested to Hope Blooms in Rushville or First Evanelical Lutheran Church in Beardstown.
