Richmond, IN - Roy L. Winters, age 83, passed away on Saturday (July 18th 2015) at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on July 25th 1931 to Al and Bess Winters and had lived in this area all of his life. Roy had worked for Kemper Cabinets for 38 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved to spend time with his family. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, and loved to watch and play sports. Roy was a Marine veteran who saw combat in the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years Mary Winters; children Diane Zielbauer, Kevin Winters, Norma (Bud) Ragan, Sheila (Dan) Claggett; sister Thresia (Dee) Bullock; brothers Bill (Vicki) Winters and Joe Winters; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter Cindy Smith. Four brothers are also deceased.

Services for Roy will be held on Wednesday (July 22nd 2015) in Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Bud Parrish will officiate. Burial will follow in Abington Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday (July 21st 2015) from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
