He was born on December 11, 1923 to Albert and Allie Rumley.
Donnie served in the Army in World War II for 4 years. He worked for Armco Steel for 37 years before retirement.
Donnie married the love of his life, Ms. Dolores Schroeder on November 16, 1946.
He is preceded in death by his son Donnie Edward Rumley and daughter Sandra Kaye Rumley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Dolores; daughters: Linda Cox and husband John, Glenda Sallee and husband Rick, and Kathleen Looper and husband Lloyd; sons: Steven Rumley and wife Delia, and Glenn Rumley and Regina Teal; eleven grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren, as well as numerous nephew, nieces and many friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 28, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Chapel at San Jacinto Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel at San Jacinto Funeral Home, with interment to follow in San Jacinto Memorial Park.
Donnie was a loving husband, father and grandfather and never met a stranger and was always friendly to anyone he met.
