Arthur E. Adickes

Arthur E. Adickes, 77, rural Platteville, died Sunday, Nov. 14 unexpectedly at the Southwest Health Center, Inc., Platteville.

Born Oct. 3, 1905, in Elk Grove Township, Adickes had been a resident of the Belmont and Platteville area his entire life. On June 16, 1946, he was united in marriage to Cleo A. Clements. From 1953 until his death Mr. and Mrs. Adickes had lived on their farm in Ellenboro township. He had also been a patrolman for County Trunk X for 17 years. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Platteville, and was preceded in death by one sister and one brother, as well as his parents, William and Emma Mingst Adickes.

Surviving are his wife, Cleo, rural Platteville; one sister, Mrs. Nora Tiedemann, Belmont; one brother, Martin Adickes, Platteville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 1:30 p.m. at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Platteville, with the Rev. Richard Agenten officiating. Burial was held in the Whig Cemetery.

The Bonin Funeral Home of Platteville was in charge of arrangements.
