Sarah m. 1st Joseph C. Mann, July 05, 1828 at Connecticut Farms, Union Co., NJ in the Presbyterian Church. Marriage record of Pastor Stephen Thompson. Joseph of Cranetown, Sarah of Union; sp Bilyieu. They had one son, Joseph C. Mann, Jr. Sarah m. 2 John Lewis Winans.

The Daily Press Thur. August 25, 1887 Mrs. Sarah Winans, aged eighty years and six months, died suddenly at the residence of her son in North Plainfield, yesterday after an illness of two days from dysentery. Deceased was the mother-in-law of Mr. A. H. Martin of No. 23 Jackson Avenue, North Plainfield, where the funeral will take place tomorrow morning at ten o'clock.

The Daily Press Saturday August 27, 1887 The funeral of the late Mrs. Winans, widow of John L. Winans, deceased, took place from the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. A. H. Martin, on Jackson Avenue, North Plainfield, yesterday afternoon. Rev. J. B. Van Meter officiated, and at the close of the service the remains were taken to Mount Horeb for interment.
