Funeral services for Samuel Clay Taylor, age 84, of Dodd City, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham with Rev. Richard Leathers officiating. Burial will follow in Dodd City Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor died Sunday, August 20, 2000 at his residence.
He was born February 24, 1916 in Midlothian, Texas to the late John Gilbert Taylor and Lula Ann Johnson Taylor.
He was married to Stella Bell Taylor who preceded him in death March 1, 1996.
Mr. Taylor was a repairman for Lone Star Gas Company and a member of the Dodd City Church of Christ.
Survivors are brother, Charles Taylor of Houston; sisters, Doris Wood and Eula Waters, both of Ft. Worth, and Vera Calvin of Everman; daughter-in-law, Audrey Bell Neel of Grand Prairie; and good friend, Mammie Burnett of Bonham.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Paul Taylor, one sister and five brothers.
