SHERMAN

Lidia Maude Scroggins, age 82, died Monday, Sept. 18, 1989 at Medical Plaza Hospital in Sherman.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Waldo Funeral Chapel in Sherman. Burial will be in Dodd City Cemetery.

Mrs. Scroggins was born on April 22, 1907 in Platter, Okla., the daughter of James A. and Eliza Ann Howell Roden.

She married Sam R. Scroggins, Sr. on Oct. 18, 1925 in Tigertown.

She moved to Fannin County from Oklahoma at an early age and attended schools in Dodd City, Windom and Lannius. She was a member of the Forest Avenue Baptist Church in Sherman.

She is survived by one son, Sam Scroggins, Jr. of Dallas; daughters, Norma King of Sherman, Ramona Mayo of Irving; brothers, John Roden and Joe Roden, both of San Antonio, Sam Roden of Austin; sisters, Sylvia Thomas of San Antonio, Nelda Weaver of Dallas; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Waldo Funeral Home Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 7-8 p.m. and at other times at the residence
