Jane (Jain) Allred was born in Kentucky, we are unsure of her parents at this time.

She married Joel R. Ragsdale, December 24, 1824.

Jane was the Mother of eight children, Sally Ann, John W., Lewis L., Martha Jane Ragsdale Clark, Mary Margaret Ragsdale Strader, Hannah Rebecca Ragsdale Brown, Absalom M. and Susan W. Ragsdale Davison.

She passed away on October 30, ???? in Halfway, Polk County, Missouri. It is believed she died in childbirth and the baby is buried with her, as was the custom of the time, Joel buried them in the family garden near their log cabin.

And so Jane started the Ragsdale Cemetery for our family.

We would like to thank Larry Boyd for taking such great pictures of our families monuments. "Thank You" Larry very much.
