HOPATCONG - Nicholas Severini died yesterday at Newton Memorial Hospital.
He was 80.
He was born in Newark and lived in Linden before moving to Hopatcong 20 years ago.
Mr. Severini was a construction worker for AFL-CIO Local 394 in Elizabeth for 20 years before his retirement.
He was a member of St. Jude's Church in Hopatcong.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; five sons, George of Kenilworth, Joseph of Hopatcong, Ronald of East Orange, Nicholas of Elizabeth and Anthony of Pennsylvania; six daughters, Roselyn Deresz of Matawan, Frances Van Pelt of Linden, Jean Cardinale of Colonia, Mary Swearengin of Piscataway, Barbara of Freehold and Anna Kwaitek of Elizabeth; five brothers, Rocco of Tinton Falls, Frank of Newark, Tommy of Whiting, Charlie of Elizabeth and Salvatore of Brick Township; three sisters, Eleanor Cowan of Bloomfield, Carmala Le Pore of Cherry Hill, and Elizabeth; 22 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Arrangements are by Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, Main Road, Landing.
