TIDBALL--April 11, 1976, Oliver (Ollie), aged 77 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Nellie Tidball of 1715 - 31 Ave. S.W.
Born in Minot, North Dakota, he came to the Knee Hill district in 1901. He later resided in the Carstairs and Bottrel districts until moving to Waterton Lakes in 1949 where he was Postmaster until retiring to Calgary, where he kept active until his illness.
Mr. Tidball served overseas in the First World War with the 50th Infantry Battalion Signal Section and was awarded the Military Medal and Bar. He was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bill (margaet) Keeley and Mrs. Helen McCallum, both of Calgary; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; four brothers -- Edward, Calgary; Thomas, Vancouver, B.C.; Albert, White Rock, B.C.; and William, Victoria, B.C.; and a sister, Naomi, Calgary.
Services at the Garden Chapel on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Rev. P.H. Burrill of Rosedale United Church officiating. Interment Field of Honour, Queen's Park.
