He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Marie Akins Massingill of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Edgar Steve and Michelle Massingill, Tony Lee “Moose” and Donna Massingill all of Dalton, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Gilbert Holbert, Tammy and Steve Broyles all of Calhoun, GA daughter-in-law, Tammie Massingill of Dalton, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Zelma Massingill of Dalton, GA; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Edgar C. “Ed” Massingill will be held Friday morning, July 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Way of the Cross Church 479 Bayview Dr, in Sugar Valley, Georgia, with Reverend David Stephens officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Love Joy Cemetery in Sugar Valley, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the Way of Cross Church after 3:00 p.m. Thursday until the service hour.
