Ace T. Backer, 82 of Scottsbluff, father, grandfather and great-grandfather was transported into the presence of his Heavenly Father on Father’s Day, June 20, 2010 at Goshen Community Care Center. Per his request there will be no services or visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Ace was born October 24, 1927 at Huntley, Wyoming to George and Mollie (Grentz) Backer. He attended Lyman public schools until they moved to Scottsbluff where he graduated from Scottsbluff High School. He was a stellar athlete throughout school and excelled in football and track.
