Mrs. Eliza Mackey, wife of Harrison Mackey, died at their home in Mayfield, on Sunday, July 8th, of a cancerous difficulty from which she had long been a patient sufferer.

Eliza Bond was born in Orange County, New York, Dec. 1, 1811, and was first married to Benjamin Westlake, who died in 1853. She was married in New York, on June 18, 1857, to Mr. Mackey, who survives her.

By her former marriage she had seven children: David B., Milton G., Hannah E., Mary A., Charlotte W., John and Morris H. Westlake. Milton died when nearly 21 years of age.

The funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon and a long procession of mourning relatives and friends followed the remains to their last resting place in Elmwood.

Eliza Bond, born December 1, 1811, was married to Benjamin Westlake November 3, 1827, at Newburg, Orange county, N. Y., where she had born eight children, six of whom survive her. David B., John O., Morris H. and Mrs. Charlotte Persons are living in this vicinity; Mrs. Hannah Baxter, at Pittsburg, Kansas, Mrs. Mary A. Coleman, at Geneseo, Illinois.

Her first born died in infancy; Milton G. died at the age of 21. She was left a widow Nov. 19, 1853, was married to H. Mackey, June 18, 1857, and after three years came to Mayfield, Illinois, where she spent the remainder of her life.

Died July 8, 1888, aged 76 years, 7 months and 7 days. Was converted in 1833, and was a consistent member of the M. E. church until her death.

The funeral services were held at the house on Tuesday forenoon, Rev. Mr. Hull conducting the services.
Eliza Bond, daughter of David Bond and Hannah Bond was born 1 Dec 1811. She was baptized at the M. E. church on 23 Dec 1832 as a married woman: Eliza Westlake.

She is buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore Illinois with her 2nd husband.
