Age 77, of Glenwood, died Thursday, April 19, 1999 at his home. He was born on August 6, 1921 at Oden, the son of James William (Jim) and Emma Francis Long Tallant. He married Farlene G. Bennett on 14 Apr 1941 at Morgan, Morgan Co., Utah.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, one sister, his daughter, Christy Lee Hopkins and his grandson, Michael D. Tallant. He was retired from the United States Navy and was an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is survived by his wife, Farlene Tallant of Glenwood; six sons; one daughter; three sisters; 22 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Internment was with military honors conducted by the Honor Guard of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2278, of Hot Springs.
