April 26, 1931 - July 12, 2015 Roy Bell Walden, 84, passed away at home July 12, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 26, 1931 in Rockdale County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Will Walden, daughter, Stacey Walden Earley, brothers, Bill Walden, Gene Walden, and Jack Walden, sister, Mary Lou Dimsdale. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Walden, sister, Patricia Heywood, brothers, Troy Walden, Ed Walden, and Larry Walden, son Ken (Patricia) Walden, grandchildren, Autumn Walden, John Walden, Gene Walden, Meg Earley, and Alison Earley. Roy graduated Porterdale High School, Emory at Oxford, GA, and University of Georgia, where he was in two honorary societies, Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma. Funeral services will be Saturday, July, 18, 2015 at Radney Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Pine Crest West Cemetery. Rev. Jessie Shackleford will officiate.
