Rites Held for
Mrs. Beal, 87
A funeral service was held Saturday
afternoon at the Cotton
Funeral home for Mrs. Inez Searle
Beal, 87, of Victor, who died Wednesday
at the Roe Boarding home
In Holcomb.
Mrs. Beal was born in Canandaigua,
March 19, 1869, to George
H. and Mary Rawson Searle. Her
family moved to Victor while Mrs.
Beal was a small child and she
had since lived in this community.
Mrs. Beal had been a life-long
member of the Victor Methodist
church. She was a former teacher,
postal clerk in Victor post office
under Postmaster Homer E. Snyder,
and bookkeeper for George
Thornton hardware in Victor.
In 1911 she married Albert N.
Beal of Victor, who died one year
ago this month. They resided all
their married life at their late
home on Rice road, town of East
Bloomfleld.
Survivors are five nephews and
several cousins.
Burial was in Boughton Hill
cemetery.
