Francis "Frank" LaVerne Butts, age 82, of Kinmundy, IL passed away at 8:19 am, Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. He was employed by Cocoa Cola as a truck driver and was a United States Army and Navy Veteran. Frank was also a member of the Iola Cavalry Apostolic Church.
Arrangements for Francis 'Frank' LaVerne Butts are being handled by Neal Funeral Home of Kinmundy, IL. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Edgewood Cemetery in Edgewood, IL. Interment will follow at the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of the Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle Church in Iola and will be received at the funeral home as well as during the graveside service. Frank is survived by sons: Dennis Butts of Effingham, IL, Ron Butts of Effingham, IL and Michael Butts of Mountain Home, AR; step-sons: Stan and Sam Alwardt both of Edgewood, IL; daughter: Gayle Malott of Panama City, FL; step-daughters: Kathy Kleinik of Farina, IL and Robin Alwardt of Kinmundy, IL; brothers: Larry Butts of Mattoon, IL and Hershel Butts of Nashville, TN; ten grand children and several great grandchildren.
Frank was born Wednesday, April 26, 1933 in Oskaloosa, IL, the son of the late William Butts and the late Ethel (Finkbone) Butts. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis Butts; son, Scott Butts; brothers, Charles, Dale and Dean Butts; and sister, Eileen Qualls
