CATONSVILLE, Md. - Odessa Webb Higgs, 87, of Catonsville, died Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at her home.

Born Oct. 16, 1914, in Millville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Mary Wedler Webb.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver W. Higgs.

She was a member of Shenandoah Memorial United Methodist Church in Millville.

She also was a member of Women of the Moose in Silver Spring, Md.

She is survived by three daughters, Charlotte Woods of Upper Marlboro, Md., Sandra Busdeker of Rudolph, Ohio, and Carol Higgs of Baltimore; two brothers, Miller Webb of Bolivar, W.Va., and Vernon Webb of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by several sisters and brothers.

Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Shenandoah Memorial United Methodist Church in Millville. The Rev. James K. Hamrick will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town, W.Va.

The family will receive friends at Eackles-Spencer Funeral Home in Harpers Ferry, Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Jefferson County Chapter, 2654 Valley Ave., Suite B, Winchester, VA 22601.
