Gerald C. RICE (1948 - 2015) SPRINGFIELD, IL - Gerald C. "Jerry" Rice, 66, of Springfield, died at 11:35 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at his home. Jerry was born Dec. 4, 1948, in Kenney, the son of James and Leta Beeler Rice. He married Wanda L. McGlothlin on June 8, 1970, in Springfield; she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents and six siblings: Mary, Sidney, Barbara, Sandy, Christina and Harry. He is survived by three sons: Tim (wife, Tess) Rice of Paso Robles, Calif., Jim (wife, Teresa) Rice of Pawnee, and Dale (wife, Tina) Rice of Lansing, N.Y.; eight grandchildren (Tim, Tom Amy, Amanda, Lauren, Jim, Jocelyn, Nick); eight siblings: Ethel, Jim, Mike, Wanda, Merle, Kelly, Shelly, and Forrest; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Brandy.
