Everett A. Smith, age 70, of Joplin, Missouri, formerly of Carterville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 following an illness.
He was born February 26, 1945 in Carterville, Missouri to the late Joseph A. Smith Sr. and Maxine (O’Banion) Smith.
Everett worked as a cook at the former Wyatt’s Cafeteria and also at the Joplin Sheltered Workshop. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.
He is survived by a two brothers; Larry and Joe Smith, and two sisters; Tilda Spoon and Janey Terry.
Graveside services were held Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Carterville Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home, Webb City, Missouri.
