A resident of Amite died at 7:30 PM on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Tangi Pines Nursing Center in Amite. He was born April 9, 1940 in Okemah, OK and was 75 years of age. He was a member of the Creek Tribe and very proud of his American Indian Heritage.
He is survived by wife, Barbara N. Barnett; daughters, Helen B. Wolsefer and husband, Raymond and Melessa P. Fontenot and husband, Glenn; son, Buster Peel and wife, Laura; grandchildren, Jessica L. Bonnett, Madison L. Bonnett, Michael D. Bonnett, Tyler A. Bonnett, Shane M. Fontenot, Jason Fontenot, Kristen P. Caccavo and husband, Michael, Kyle Peel and wife, Kristen and Kourtney Peel; great grandchildren, Reese Caccavo, Madison Forbes, Khloe Peel and Greisyn Carnegie and brother, Daniel J. Barnett and wife, Ann. Preceded in death by his parents, David O. and Helen A. Barnett and brother, Louis G. Barnett.
