Services Being Announced For Drowned CoupleLeo J. Ahearn and his wife, Frankie M. of 306 D St. NW, Auburn, who died Wednesday as a result of a boating accident on Lake Kachess, near Cle Elum, had been married since Dec. 28, 1868. Mr. Ahearn, 74, was born in Princeton, Minn., moved to Lester in 1943, to Bremerton in 1963 and to Auburn in 1968. He retired in 1962 as a roundhouse, foreman for Northern Pacific Railway, and then worked as a machinist at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard from 1964 to 1969. Mrs. Ahearn, 73, was born in Jacksonville, Fla., and in 1919, moved to Lester, where she served as postmistress from 1941 to 1951. She moved to Auburn in 1952. Surviving Mr. Ahearn are a son, Robert L. of Bremerton; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Adams, of Seattle; two brothers, Harry of Tacoma, and Lawrence, of Seattle; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel McRae, of The Dalles, Ore., and Mrs. Bernice White, of Seattle; and five grandchildren. Surviving Mrs. Ahearn is a son, Homer G. McElreath, of Auburn; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
