Richard L. Beistline, 80, of Lower Paxton Twp., passed away Monday, July 6, 2015, at Harrisburg Hospital. He was the widower of Dorothy E. (Sharretts) Beistline to whom he had been married for 56 years until her passing in 2013.
Born July 3, 1935, in Steelton, he was a son of the late Harry and Martha Beistline.
Mr. Beistline was a U.S. Army veteran.
He attended Hershey Free Church and enjoyed cooking, gardening, and polka music.
Surviving is 2 sons, Richard A. and David A. Beistline and wife, Michaele, all of Harrisburg; 2 granddaughters, Holly and Heather Beistline; 2 brothers, Barry and Ronald Beistline; and a sister, Ruth Martin.
A funeral service will be held Friday, July 10, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
A viewing will be from 10-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
