She was born January 2, 1924, in Blythedale, Mo., the daughter of Dayton and Dorothy Irene (Lacy) Polley.
On January 28, 1946, she married Dean L. Ballew. He preceded her in death on December 8, 1999. She also was preceded in death by her parents; and two infant brothers.
Marilyn was a housewife, had taught school, and had worked at the Eagles Landing Hotel. She was also a member of the 20th Century Club and the Red Hat Society. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Eagleville, and was a member of the CWF.
Survivors include a daughter, Deanna (Mark) Ballantine, Kimberling City, Mo.; son, Dennis (Barb) Ballew, Gallatin; sister, Romona (Kenneth) Smith, Eagleville; brother, Bradford Polley, Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, at the First Christian Church, Eagleville. Burial: in Masonic Cemetery, Eagleville.
