Albert L Deskins, son of William and Cynthia Deskins, was born in Daviess county, Missouri, May 1, 1873, and died December 14, 1924, aged 51 years, 7 months, and 14 days.

When one year old his parents moved to Harrison county, where he lived the remainder of his life, mostly on the old Deskins farm east of Blythedale.

He was united in marriage to Mattie Sweetman August 4, 1897, and to them was born one child, a daughter, now Mrs Gloria Young.

He is survived by his aged mother, Mrs Cynthia Deskins, his widow and daughter, and one grandchild, Johnny Young; four sisters, Mrs Effie Hazen and Mrs Mollie Bender of Blythedale; Mrs Sarah Wardrip, Delphos, Iowa, and Mrs Dora McConnell, Rodgerson, Idaho.

Mr Deskins was a member of the M W of A, Blythedale Camp. The deceased was not a member of any church but had high ideals regarding the salvation of souls and enjoyed religious services of any faith.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church Monday afternoon, conducted by Reverend Ragsdale of Rigdeway, and interment was made in Cedar Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were brother Woodmen and they also conducted a short service at the grave.
