GEORGE A. BERRY DEAD
George A. Berry, an old settler in this community, widely known and truly respected throughout the county, died at the old home place, four miles northeast of Davenport, Wednesday morning, at the age of 67 years, 7 months, 7 days.
His health had been failing for several years, and although he had been a man of great physical vigor in years past, his end did not come as a surprise to his friends who knew his failing condition.
Deceased was born in Knox county, Tennessee. He and family have been residents of Lincoln county since 1896, when the family moved here from Colorado. The wife, nine grown sons and two daughters, constitute the immediate family remaining to mourn his departure, which will bring sadness to a host of friends, that his long residence here, his kind nature and sterling manhood have gained for him.
The funeral will probably be from the home Friday and interment will be made at the Davenport cemetery. All of the children, with the probably exception of two, who are in Montana, will be in attendance.
