Robert F. "Bob" Snyder passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet. Bob was born Sept. 28, 1926, in Memphis, Tenn. He was a man of faith and longtime member of Colleyville Church of Christ. Bob was honored as a founding member of the Greater Southwest Aero Modelers. His passion was mentoring both newcomers and experienced pilots in RC modeling as well as building, crashing, and flying his planes. He was a flight crew chief for P-51 Mustangs in the Philippines during World War II. Bob was eagerly awaiting the birth of his first great-grandson in November. Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Earlene Snyder. Survivors: Daughter, Jan Carleton and husband, John; granddaughters, Shaylynn Lesinski and husband, Josh, and Shelbrie Lynch and Stephen Chase; great-granddaughters, MacKayla and Lawsyn Lesinski; nephews, Steve and Terry Snyder, and Grady Housewright; great-nephew, Keith Housewright; son-in-law, Tim Lynch; and dear family friend, Mickie Mason.
