Jean D. Jones, 92, of Wolf Creek passed away Friday, June 30, 2006, at Crest Nursing Home in Butte. Jean was born on Jan. 4, 1914, to Maude and Nathan Dickson. She married Everett William Jones in 1934. Jean and Everett lived most of their lives in Wolf Creek. Jean was a mail carrier for the Dearborn route in Wolf Creek for many years. She was also a cook at the Oasis Café in Wolf Creek. Jean lived in DeBorgia for a few years and owned and operated the Riverside Café. Jean moved back to Wolf Creek and cooked for the school and became a foster grandparent, which she did until she was 90. Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett; children, Irene Tyler, Everett O. Jones, Clarence Jones, and Randy Jones; sisters, Eva McGuigan, Irene Ferguson; a brother, Art Dickson; and grandchildren, Dell Ray Jones and Tamara Hoyle.

Jean is survived by her grandchildren Richard Tyler, Glenn Tyler, Zynda Jones Logan, Shane Jones, Everett LeRoy Jones, many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Friday at Helena Funeral Chapel, 314 N. Rodney St., from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and funeral and burial services will be held at Dearborn Cemetery on Sat., July 8, 2006, at 1 p.m. A reception to celebrate Jeans life will follow at her home in Wolf Creek. Helena Funeral Chapel has completed the arrangements.
