Co. C, 42nd Georgia Infantry; Confederate States of America. Enlisted as a private March 4, 1862. Detached as guard at Chickamauga, Ga. October 18, 1863. In Bell Hospital at Rome, Ga. October 31, 1863. Pension records show he was unfit for field service and was detailed for government work and remained until surrender.(Born in South Carolina).
