Agnes Annie Janacek
BAYTOWN--Mrs. Agnes Annie Janacek, 81, of Channelview, passed away at 10:45 a.m. August 14 in Baytown Medical Center Hospital, Baytown.
She had been a resident of Channelview 28 years. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and of the K. J. Z. T. Chapter.
Survivors include her husband, Henry A. Janacek of Rosenberg; three sons, Daniel Elmer Janacek of Liberty, Benjamin Franklin Janacek of Leesburg, Indiana and Wilfred Ike Janacek of Richmond, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. H. A. Svoboda of Channelview.
Also, three brothers, Jerry Pratka of Dayton, V. J. Pratka of West, Texas and Ike Pratka of Penelope, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Emil Kristek of Flatonia, Mrs. Annie Hormak of Granger and Mrs. Lena Kopecky of West, Texas, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral mass was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in St. Anne's Catholic Church at Eastgate, with Rev. Msgr. Paul Fee officiating. Burial was in the Eastgate Cemetery under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home of Dayton, with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Rosary was recited at 8:15 p.m. Friday in Sterling Funeral Chapel.
