James ( Jim ) Grady Claxton was my grandfathers brother.
Jim was the son of Myrtle Green Claxton and William E Claxton.
I never knew him. He died the year I was born. He married " Willie Florene "

1 Odis Archie Claxton Sr- He was married to Nola C Bradford Claxton, who died of the ALS Lou Garretts disease. Their home was at 402 S. LaSalle in Abilene, Texas. They had one son, Odis Claxton Jr who is my Dad. He lives in Abilene, Texas..
2 William "Earl" Claxton born Sept. 1, 1903. He was married twice. I never knew his first wife. His 1st wifes name was Maudie and their kids were Earl Jr and Helen.
His second marriage was to Odetta and their kids are Patsy from New Mexico, and Marily from Ft Worth.
Earl died 11-5-1983. Geraldine, known also as Odetta, was his wife. Earl and Geraldine last lived at 1173 Elm in Abilene, Texas.
3) Nora Lee Claxton Cole was born 5-23-1902. She died 8-15-1994.Nora was the sweetest person I ever knew. I never knew her husband. Nora had 2 kids. One daughter, Betty Joyce, and one son Billy. Billy lives in Pecos, Texas I think.
Betty Joyce and her husband J.O Connell were killed in an airplane crash. I never knew them.
Nora moved near her children before death, but her last home I knew her to have was in Abilene at 1701 S. 22nd Street.
4) Leona Lucielle Claxton Smith was Jim's sister and she was born 6-16-1913. Leona adored my kids. She lived in my house in Abilene when she died. She had one son, James Welch who still lives in Abilene. She last lived at 3174 S ^th Street in Abilene, Tx.
5) Lindell Burnett Claxton was Jims brother and was born 4-2-1915. He married the kindest most lovely woman named Jewell. Lindell died in March 1994. I think it was March 10th in Abilene. Lindell and Jewel last lived in Abilene at their long time home at 1843 Santos. Jim's daughter, Darlene was raised in that house.
