J. C. BRANNON served for the nine years leading up to his death as Master Mechanic for the Perkins Hosiery Mills in Columbus. Died December 12, 1918, at the age of 43 years, after one week's illness of influenza, at his residence near Buena Vista in Marion County, Georgia. The funeral was held the morning of December 13, after which the remains were taken to Columbus for interment at Riverdale Cemetery. The graveside services were conducted by Rev. J. C. G. BROOKS, with the pallbearers being Messrs. J. H. CARPENTER, L. Y. CORLEY, B. L. DUKE, J. O. FAULKNER, H. R. MURPHEY, and P. J. WILLIAMS. Survivors included his wife and six children, as well as one sister, Mrs. Henry BARR, and one brother, Mr. Flem BRANNON, both of Marion County [ref.
