Neil Bittner, 64, of Eldora, died on Wednesday November 22, at the Eldora Regional Medical Center in Eldora, of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice of Eldora; a brother, Leland of Liscomb; and five sisters, Irma Fouts of Kelseyville, California, Julia Butler of Union, Marcia Brothers and Lillian Schoborg both of Marshalltown, and Avonelle Pippin of Osceola,

He was preceded in death by his parent, five brothers, and two sisters.

Services at First Baptist Church, Steamboat Rock, burial in Steamboat Rock Cemetery.

Mr. Bittner had worked for Packaging Corp. as a machinist, and farmed from 1961 to 1993. He also drove a school bus for Steamboat Rock and Eldora Schools, and Pine Lake State Park.
