Mrs. Gwendola Fae Arflack Ford, age 85, a resident of Cumberland Valley Manor in Burkesville, KY, formerly of Corydon, KY, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the Cumberland Valley Manor in Burkesville, KY. She was born in Sullivan, (Union County) KY on Sunday, June 1, 1930, the daughter of Robert Thomas and Ruby Opal Samuels Arflack.
She was a member of The Corydon United Methodist Church, a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband, Russell Burton “Bert” Ford, Jr.; her son, Robert Russell “Bobby” Ford; her siblings, J. D. Arflack, Bobbie Doyle Arflack and Ruby Geraldine Gooch.
She is survived by her daughter, Reta Karen (and Rev. Steve) Proctor of Burkesville, KY; her sister, Reta Elwanda Arflack Duckworth of Paradise, IN; two grandchildren, Adam Elon (and Stephanie) Proctor of Frankfort, KY; Amisha Ann (and Jon) Riley of Burkesville, KY; three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Haley and Jeremiah; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Benton-Glunt Funeral Home Chapel in Henderson, KY with the Rev. David Oaks officiating. Burial will follow in the Corydon Cemetery in Corydon, KY.
The family will receive friends after 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 at Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, KY and from 11:00 a.m. Sunday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home until the funeral hour. Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, KY is honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
