Mrs. Anna Hoovler
Mrs. Anna Hoovler, 73, of 602 Fowler street, died at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, in University hospital, Iowa City, Ia., where she had been a patient three days.
Cause of death was a heart attack.
Anna Gabel was born Nov. 10, 1876, in Jackson county, Iowa, the daughter of Sebold and Elizabeth Cornelius Gabel.
She was married to Charles Albert Hoovler in Jackson county on June 14, 1899.
After moving to Waterloo from Jackson county, she lived here 32 years.
She was a member of the Lutheran church.
Surviving are three sons, Edward, of 411 1/2 Jefferson street, Harold, of Davenport, Ia., and Fred of Springfield, Mo.; three daughters, Mrs. Fred H. Thies, of Iowa Falls, Ia., Mrs. A.G. Wolf and Mrs. Elda Simmons, both of 1731 Franklin street; a brother, Charles Babel, of Hawkeye, Ia.; and four grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, who died 15 years ago, and her parents.
The body is at Kearns Garden chapel where funeral arrangements are pending.
