Jack L. Davis, 83, of Amarillo, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2015, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Clay J. Brown, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Jack was born Aug. 1, 1931, in Kansas City, Missouri to J.E. and Irene Davis. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1949. Jack married Dorothy Vogel on Oct. 31, 1950. They were married 59 years before she preceded him in death.

Jack farmed in Wildorado for years, owned a feed yard and was a livestock loan inspector for First National Bank. He was a member of the Vega Masonic Lodge and the Khiva Shrine Temple in Amarillo. Jack loved hunting, fishing and all outdoor sports with his family.

He also was preceded in death by a son, Jim “Bronc” Davis in 1997.

Survivors include three children, Walter Davis and wife Beverly of Hereford, Diane Meyers and husband John of Wilsonville, Oregon and Pam Stork and husband Arnold of Dumas; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Wrenn and husband Bryan of Hayes, Virginia, Melissa Fowler and husband Mike of Lake Jackson, Bert Meyers and wife Molly and Brent Meyers, all of Beaverton, Oregon, Chad Stork and wife Meghan of East Barnard, Chris Stork and wife Nikki of Goodwill, Oklahoma, Casey Davis and wife Kayla of Guymon, Oklahoma and Caitlen Davis of Waiuka, New Zealand; and 13 great-grandchildren, Brandon, Tyler and Nick Wrenn, Ty and Emma Fowler, William Meyers, Maddie, Lillian and Isabel Stork, Davis and Pencie Stork, and Barrett and Collin Davis.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2015, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Presbyterian Children’s Home; or to Khiva Shrine.
