Judy Bell Wilson Benton, 81, died Tuesday Nov. 1, 2011 at Premier Living of Lake Waccamaw. Mrs. Benton was born in Columbus County, a daughter of the late Doc and Arizona Strickland Wilson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Desiree Coleman and her son, Moody Dale Buffkin. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at the Cherry Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Meares Funeral Home of Fair Bluff is handling the arrangements. Surviving are one sister, Rita ôDupyö Weaver of Ocala, Fla.; two grandchildren Dawn Blackwell of Tabor City, Heath Buffkin of Surfside Beach, S.C.; and three great-grandchildren, Hayley Blackwell, Brayden Blackwell and Megan Buffkin.
