Harriet Armstrong, our beloved mom, was born October 24, 1930, and left the chains of this world on June 30, 2015, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's, to enter the Gates of Heaven. She was a graduate of Kilgore Junior College. Harriet was a past member of the Republicans Women's Club and a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas where she worked in the nursery. She leaves behind a loving legacy of fierce dedication to her 5 boys, 4 daughters-in-law, 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many good friends who were with her until the end. She is now reunited with her Connie, the man who claimed her heart and devotion for 56 years before his death in 2007. They now walk hand in hand in Heaven for all eternity. Peace and joy abound. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2015 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation, being held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
