Merlin married Geraldine Baldwin on December 22, 1955 in Castro Valley, California.They were the parents of Penni, Jackie, and Kelly.
He barbered in Kearns for 40 years and made many wonderful friends. He loved to spend time with his family, they were his life. He also was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings.
Merlin is survived by his loving wife; children, Penni (Keith) Cook, Jackie (Layne) Larsen, Kelly (Todd) Jensen; nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; brothers, Clarence, Harold and Blain Blackburn. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and three brothers.
