Charles passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake at the age of 87. He was a resident and native of Port Allen, La. A US Navy Veteran, he retired as a Lab Tech from Deltech. Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 5 to 8pm and at Holy Family Catholic Church, Port Allen on Friday, July 3, 2015 from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am, celebrated by Father David Allen. Entombment will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, Brusly. He is survived by his daughters, Terri Lingle, Christi Sanchez (Bart), and Mindy Manchester (Tony); grandchildren, Aimee McSpaddin (Kerry), Amber Thompson (Dwight), Shane “Bucky” Aucoin, Jr., Lance White, Kari White, Kara Hendrix (Chad), Jade Sanchez, Keegan Manchester and Kaylin Mouser (Charlie); great grandchildren, Braeden, Liam, Londyn and baby Birch; sister, Dot Cashiola (Anthony); sister in law, Odile Aucoin; good friend, Jessie Hayes; numerous nieces and nephews that held a special place in his heart. Preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca “Becky” Stansbury Aucoin; son, Shane Aucoin; parents, Medric and Rosa Berthelot Aucoin; and brother, Medric Aucoin, Jr. He was a member of the WBR Flotilla, Knights of Columbus and WBR Auxiliary Deputy. He liked designing metal work and gardening.
