Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro. Rev. Bill Melancon, pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Erath, will officiate at the service.
Mr. Prejean was a native and resident of Carencro all of his life. He was a retired parts manager with Schoeffler Cadillac with over 30 years of service. A veteran of the United States Marines, Mr. Prejean served in the Korea War. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, woodworking, and working in his yard. He was parishioner of St. Peter's Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Olivier and her husband, Burton, and Carolann Olivier and her husband, Carl, all of Carencro; six grandchildren, Michael Olivier, Chris Olivier and his wife, Leah, Brandi Caillier and her husband, Corey, Stacy Olivier, Aaron Olivier, and Katie Olivier; and five great grandchildren, Jillian Olivier, Blair Olivier, BreAnn Olivier, Reece Olivier, and Gracie Olivier.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, the former Jessie Dekerlegand; his parents, Ferdinand Prejean and the former Celine Babineaux, both natives of Carencro; two brothers, Milton Prejean and Roy Prejean; three sisters, Earline P. Latour, Enola Latour, and Lena Dugas.
