Marvin Bob Burford, 66, of Fordyce died Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado, Arkansas.

He was born September 13, 1948 in Fordyce, Arkansas. He was a graduate of Arkansas A&M with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry. He spent his 40 year career with Georgia-Pacific as a forester/procurement manager.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Burford and Margaret Garner-Burford; and nephew, Gordon Smith.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Burford of Fordyce; son, Dru Burford and wife Heather of Crossett; daughter, Terri Guess and husband Josh of Brandon, MS; sister, Lula Ann Smith of Little Rock; nephew, Brian Smith of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Brady and Blake Burford of Crossett, Clara and Collier Guess of Brandon, MS.

The family and their friends will take part in funeral procession from Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce to Canada/Kennedy Cemetery to preceed the graveside services whick will be held at Canada/Kennedy Cemetery with Rev. Harry Puterbaugh officiating.
