Death at Davilla
Mr. M.M. Moore, a life-long citizen of this section, died suddenly at Davilla on Aug. 19. He was born near the Brazos river Aug. 21, 1855, and had he lived two days longer would have been 59 years of age.
His parents were hardy Texas pioneers who raised six children, only two of whom survive, a sister, Lou Hoffman of Oklahoma, and a brother, G.W. Moore, who lived with him.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. C.M. Ashmore, pastor of the Christian church at Rogers, and interment took place at 5 o'clock last Thursday in the Val Verde cemetery.
He was married in 1878 to Miss Alice Pruitt, and to this union five children were born: Mrs. Ida Strickland, Mrs. Minnie Melear, and Messrs, Bert, Wallace and Clyde Moore.
The Tribune extends sympathy to the bereaved relatives and friends.
