Mr. Edward Ackerman, 63, formerly of this town died Saturday in Chicago, Ill., following a brief illness which had caused his hospitalization. A paperbox maker by trade Ackerman had been employed in Chicago since leaving this city more than 25 years ago. When a young man, he had served here for four years as a U.S. Naval Reservist. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Doris) Seamanns, of Blossvale and Mrs. Arthur (Jeannette) Hunt, of Rochester; two brothers, Harold B. Ackerman of Fulton and Frederick S. Ackerman of Hamilton, Ontario; two sisters, Mrs. Lewis (Christabel) Lower and Mrs. Harold Abbey; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
